Using granite in your kitchen allows for the creation of a space which is not only visually stunning, but extremely low maintenance, robust and durable enough to withstand the everyday life of a modern family kitchen. There are a lot of colours and natural patterning available, using stone from world-wide sources. We've listed a number of them here, split into a number of bands. Note that, unless your computer and monitor are colour calibrated, you'll be unable to see the actual colours, but our Kidlington shop has actual samples of many stones.

Granite is an igneous rock and is one of the most hard wearing of all natural materials. It is formed as a result of the slow crystallisation of moltern magma, deep in the earth's crust. The minerals which make up granite include quartz, felspars and various mafic minerals; the size, distribution and precise chemistry of which give the granite its distinctive, varied and beautiful colours. The result of these factors is a material as incredibly practical as it is aesthetically diverse; a material ideally suited for the creation of kitchen worksurfaces and bar/counter tops both for commercial and residential environments.
